FJ80 Land Cruiser Aluminum Radiator Swap

What a PITA after all, what was supposed to be a simple radiator swap turns out to be fabricating challenge. As much as I like making stuff out off junk, this was one of those things I didn't plan to do. The aftermarket aluminum radiator was marketed as an OEM replacement however when I test fitted it, it turns out to be an inch smaller and I can't use the factory mounts or bracket. Since I already have everything out, I had no choice but to pull off my fabricating skill (in other words, I have to rig'r done it).

Using a 2" inch aluminum flat bar and drilling holes to match the mount bolts on the new radiator and sandwich nuts to create a stud for attachment to the factory mounts.

Stud!

Sandwich!

The Float!

The final fab-ulous!

 The happy ending - almost!
